Andrew and I met when I began my first career out of college. I got my first job at a middle school here in San Antonio, TX. I was really excited and just a couple weeks in, I loved my kids. I got the unfortunate news that I was going to be "displaced" since I was the last one hired and there wasn't enough funding/enrollment to keep a new employee. Luckily they were going to send me to another school within the district. I was so sad as I was getting to know my coworkers and students. I was single then and joked to my mom, "maybe this was supposed to happen, maybe I'll find the guy I marry there."

About my second week in, it's a staff meeting where I get to meet the majority of my co-workers. My boss points out all the single guys at this time putting in a few good words for a special someone. Time moves on, I'm just trying to catch the flow of the new job. A coach comes by my room as I stayed late one day and offered me some cookies he had gotten, yes that coach was Andrew, but come on, how do I say no to cookies? The next thing I know he adds me on Instagram followed by a DM. He asked me to dinner, and a following date after. Five and a half years later, here we are waiting to become Mr. and Mrs. Collazo and it truly was as if it was meant to be.
